Reflect your culture

The lecture was about assertiveness. Everybody kept guessing what the doctor meant with assertiveness. We had to present our answers in front of the class. In briefly; assertiveness means ‘a kind of motivation to get your goals’

In this class I was confirmed by my understanding how most Dutch people think about their own culture. Dutch people in general have a kind of arrogant thinking of themselves. In the things they do, behave to other cultures and the way how they think. Mostly they or only thinking their way is the best way. Dutch people could be more open minded to other cultures. We say, Holland is a multicultural country, but in fact we still can learn so much more from other cultures. Our culture (way of thinking) is just a small raindrop in a rainstorm...
